Marks & Spencer has launched Sparks Preferential Rates on travel money for its more than 20 million Sparks customers on over 50 currencies both online and in store just in time for summer holidays.
As part of M&S Travel Money’s focus on offering customers more currencies, convenience and choice to take the hassle out of going on holiday, from today customers are also now able to Click & Collect over 50 currencies* from more than 560 stores nationwide – more than ever before - alongside its 96 Bureaux de change.
euros and US dollars – which are the currencies bought by more than 80% of M&S Travel Money customers - can also now be collected in minutes from more than 560 stores nationwide, which includes Full Line, Food and Outlet stores. This near-instant service has been enabled by an investment in technology which sends a notification directly to colleagues – an idea that came directly from colleagues themselves through M&S’ Straight to Stuart CEO suggestion scheme.
Katherine Carlson, Director of Financial Services at M&S, said: “We want to be able to reward our Sparks customers for their loyalty and what better way to do so than helping their money go further on holiday. And with customers now able to pick up their travel money in more of our stores than ever before, it has never been easier to get ready for your holiday with M&S. Offering our customers the very best products, services and rewards are a key part of the transformation of our financial services offering and this is just the latest step in that journey.”
The launch of Sparks Preferential Rates and expansion of Travel Money across more stores mark another step forward in the wider transformation of M&S’ financial services offering, focused on giving customers a better, more relevant experience.
Last week, M&S announced its Sparks loyalty scheme was fully back online with a range of ‘thank you’ treats and rewards, including its popular Coffee Stamp scheme which gives customers who have collected their six stamps a free coffee in their Sparks Hub.
