Interactive Supplier Map
In 2014, we made transparency a key priority in Plan A by introducing several new commitments. In particular, we committed that by April 2016 we would publish an annual list of our active clothing manufacturers, which we fulfilled through our interactive map.
In 2024, in order to share our data collaboratively and in a standardized manner with others across the industry, we disclosed our tier 1 supply base through Open Supply Hub. We have also included additional data points including those relating to worker representation and gender.
The Clothing, Home and Beauty factories published on Open Supply Hub were active as of the date listed on the map and are contracted by our direct suppliers to produce finished goods which are ready for retail and bear M&S brand logos and marks. Included are 100% first-tier manufacturing sites which produce M&S branded products.
The Food factories published on Open Supply Hub were active as of the date listed on the map and are 100% of our first-tier food production sites of M&S own brand products.
We aim to ensure the information published on Open Supply Hub is as accurate as possible but as with any large dataset errors and anomalies can occur. We will review and update the data on this map regularly, and at a minimum twice annually, to cross-check the entries and to account for seasonal production taking place during the year. We also reserve the right to remove supplier factories from the map at any time should we suspend or cease trading with a factory.
