This is not just any cracker…This is an M&S Christmas Cracker - Part three

Every week leading into Christmas, we will be sharing all of the magic of M&S. Pull your third cracker and make your festive season sparkle - here’s everything coming your way this December.

INSIDE M&S

The much-loved show is back for a third year and follows the magic behind the scenes as we create the most innovative high-quality food on the high street. This time, the documentary follows the journey of one of our biggest store renewals – our 25-year-old Cribbs Causeway store in Bristol. Tune into ITV today, Wednesday 18th December, at 9pm and watch as our colleagues work overnight to make sure the store is transformed for our customers, just in time for Christmas.

SEASONAL SANDWICHES

Featured in our documentary is award-winning food producer Around Noon from Newry, County Down. The local supplier is bringing festive cheer to M&S customers across Ireland with a selection of seasonal sandwiches for shoppers on the go during the busy period. The M&S and Around Noon teams have crafted a delicious Christmas sandwich range using the finest locally sourced ingredients, such as our Yule Spiced Beef Christmas sandwich and our iconic classic Turkey Feast sandwich, offering a sandwich for everyone.

A TASTE OF YORKSHIRE

Also making an appearance is Yorkshire Baker, a Malton-based bakery, bringing a taste of Yorkshire magic to M&S’ Christmas food range this year. This Christmas, Yorkshire Baker is delivering the exceptional quality our customers expect and supplying M&S with a range of festive food with quality ingredients and innovative flavours. The range includes showstopping savoury pastries and delicious plant- based main courses for Christmas day dinner such as our Collection Butternut Squash, Brie and Caramelized Wellington and our Plant Kitchen Butternut Squash & Spinach Pie.

BUSIEST CHRISTMAS AT CASTLE DONINGTON

This year, M&S is expecting to pick and pack over six million online orders in the lead up to Christmas. In the first half of the year (26 weeks ended 28th September), 33% of sales came through online. To deliver a seamless shopping experience for customers this Christmas, we have recruited an additional almost 850 colleagues at our largest distribution centre in the Midlands – Castle Donington – bringing the total number of colleagues at the site to 3,000.

GETTING CLOSER TO OUR CUSTOMERS AT CHRISTMAS

To support stores during the busiest weeks of the entire year, our Support Centre colleagues are in store to help deliver a remarkable Christmas for customers. From supporting with the fulfilment of Click & Collect orders to replenishing shelves, more than 91,000 hours will have been completed by Christmas Day by more than 3,300 colleagues across 574 stores!

CLOSED ON BOXING DAY

Our stores, support centres and distribution centres will be closed on Boxing Day so colleagues can spend more time with loved ones, but the majority of stores will reopen on the 27th December for our seasonal sale.
