Every week leading into Christmas, we will be sharing all of the magic of M&S. Pull your fourth cracker and make your festive season sparkle - here’s everything coming your way this December.

 

FOOD ON THE MOVE X SHELTER

We’re giving 5% of each item sold from our Christmas Food on the Move range to Shelter to help the millions of people every year struggling with housing issues or homelessness. The money raised through our sales will go towards supporting Shelter’s emergency helpline. Festive favourites in the range include our Turkey Feast Pasta complete with a Christmassy pot of gravy, our Pigs in Blankets Sandwich packed with British pork sausages, and our deliciously creamy Gingerbread Milkshake.

COMMUNITY SHOP

Through our joint partnership with Ocado, this Christmas we’ve donated 3,200 of our showstopping M&S Beef Joints along with thousands of vouchers so members can fill their baskets for free - with all the trimmings - at Community Shop locations across the UK. We’ve also donated 3,000 bags of chocolate coins to make Christmas a little bit sweeter. Community Shop helps feed families facing food poverty while making sure perfectly good products don’t go to waste. This year, the initiative will support over 10,000 people, allowing them to enjoy a Christmas dinner at home with their family and friends.

BEAUTY ADVENT CALENDAR RECYCLING

Did you buy our beauty advent calendar? In partnership with HANDLE, you can recycle the contents by dropping the used beauty packaging into dedicated beauty takeback scheme boxes located within 100 M&S stores across the UK. HANDLE is a circular company aiming to reduce the environmental impact of beauty packaging. Since launching in June 2023, the scheme has processed over 1.6 tonnes of beauty packaging – the equivalent of a small car - which otherwise might have ended up in landfill. Made from at least 98% of the material we have collected, we have produced a wide-toothed hair comb which is available to purchase online and in selected stores for £8.

SOURCING BRITISH PRODUCT

Sourcing and making our products with care is at the heart of everything we do, whether it’s hand-selecting the best British seasonal produce or working with trusted British M&S Select Farmers. In our Christmas range, all our turkey - joints, crowns and whole birds – is slow-reared on British farms, and all our pigs in blankets are made with British, outdoor-bred pork. This year there’s been over 200 upgrades to our Christmas range including Double Wrapped Pigs in Blankets, which are exclusive to M&S! Our British grown roast potatoes, roasted parsnips, and brussels sprouts are harvested from trusted growers ensuring unmatched freshness, flavour, and quality.

CHRISTMAS FOOD DONATION

We’re donating 100,000 Christmas dinners to families in need, in partnership with our long term suppliers 2 Sisters Food Group (2SFG) and Valeo Foods Group. As part of our ongoing work supporting the Kings Coronation Food Project, Fareshare will distribute the freshly prepared products for families in need to enjoy on Christmas Day.

FUND A FRIDGE

We’re donating £20,000 to help 40 local good causes purchase additional fridges or freezers to help increase the amount of food that can be given out to those who need it most. Fund a Fridge is part of Neighbourly’s GoGive campaign which supports UK food charities over the winter by helping them raise funds for a fridge or freezer allowing them to receive more fresh surplus food and feed more people.
