M&S Food launches new summer marketing campaign showing customers the provenance of their food

Today, M&S Food has revealed the latest advert from its Farm to Foodhall campaign, spotlighting King Cherries. The ad features M&S chef ambassador and Michelin Starred Chef Tom Kerridge as he visits M&S Select Farmers Sarah and Bryan Neaves at Little Sharsted Farm in Kent.

The Farm to Foodhall campaign, which launched in May, runs across TV, Out of Home, and social media until September. This year as part of the campaign, Tom visits not just M&S Select Farms in Britain but also trusted farms in Italy and Spain to tell some of the amazing quality and provenance stories behind the products.

The campaign celebrates the very best of British produce, with stories spanning the length and breadth of the country, while also spotlighting the provenance of carefully sourced ingredients from trusted M&S suppliers in Italy and Spain. Creatively, the series showcases Tom meeting the people behind the products, with upcoming stories on, Iberico Ham, Parmesan Cheese, Butter and British Tree-Ripened Plums.

Whether it’s our Parmesan, expertly aged for an authentically intense flavour by specialist producers in Italy; Tree Ripened Plums farmed in a nature-friendly way, or hero ingredients featured in Cooking with the Stars, every product has a story worth telling. This campaign plays a key role in positioning M&S as a shopping list retailer and demonstrating how, for us, this is not just food.”

Last year, M&S extended its partnership with Tom Kerridge through a new ITV series, ‘Tom Kerridge Cooks Britian’. The programme returns this summer for a second series, focusing on Spain. In ‘Tom Kerridge Cooks Spain’, the lovable chef travels across regions of Spain, meeting local farmers and growers. Along the way, he explores the history, culture, and people behind the food, immersing himself in local traditions and cooking with regional ingredients.  

The series consists of six 30-minute episodes and will air on ITV1, from the end of July. It is co-created with South Shore Productions as an Ad Funded Production (AFP). This follows other successful M&S Ad Funded series, including Cooking with the Stars, the biggest cooking show on ITV.

Last week, the celebrity line-up for the fifth season of Cooking with the Stars was announced. The stars include Jordan North, Jess Wright, Hugh Dennis, Kelly Hoppen, Jack Osbourne, Natalie Cassidy, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, and Shaun Wright-Phillips. The six-part cooking competition will air this summer on ITV1, ITVX, STV, and STV Player.
