At M&S we know how much the mental health of young people matters to our customers and colleagues. No young person should feel alone, and no adult should feel lost when they want to help, that's why we're working together with the leading mental health charity for young people, YoungMinds to make a big difference.
Our goal is to raise £5 million over the next three years. This will support seven million young people and the adults in their lives by providing funding and support for vital resources, as research shows many young people are still not asking for help with their mental health, despite struggling.
So far, a £1 million kick-start donation from M&S has been made and the generosity of customers and colleagues means an additional £700,000 has been raised to make a total donation of £1.7m to date.
We recently launched our first product collaboration with the charity where 5p from every M&S Farmhouse Loaf we sell in our M&S Foodhalls will be donated to YoungMinds.
Over 400 colleagues have completed ‘Trusted Adult Training’ a 40 min webinar on how to support young people and for the month of June, our colleagues across the UK are getting behind the BIGGEST fun-raiser ever for YoungMinds. Helping to raise funds, colleagues will be walking, running, singing and baking and showing young people they are not alone.
We can all pitch in. Together, we've got this!
