- Over 50 new local jobs have been created by the extension
M&S has re-opened the doors to its transformed food store on Chiswick High Road this morning, with the store now 75% bigger.
The extension of the store has seen it take over three neighbouring units to total 15,200 sq ft. Inside, customers can find a brand-new design and even more delicious M&S Food to choose from, alongside exciting in-store features.
A new in-store bakery & coffee counter serves up M&S’ seasonal Collection Christmas Sourdough Baguette, filled with dried cranberries, crispy onions, pumpkin seeds and sage, as well as barista-made hot drinks including a Spiced Turmeric Latte.
Customers will also find plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables to choose from, including festive-themed fresh market specials, such as Collection Easy Peelers with leaves and In-shell Chestnuts found at the front of the store.
New to explore is a brand-new hot chicken counter, with BBQ and butter-basted flavour British rotisserie chicken, and a new Mai Sushi counter, offering plenty of handcrafted lunch choices.
As the Christmas Countdown is on, customers can find a range of brand-new M&S festive must-haves including Peppermint Bark cookies, Maple Mulled Wine and even celebration potatoes.
M&S’ Remarksable Value range of over 100 everyday essentials, price benchmarked against key competitors and with an M&S quality point of difference, is also available across the store, alongside the family-friendly Bigger Pack Better Value range.
To allow work to take place, the store temporarily closed in June and over 50 new local jobs have been created. Store Manager Dan Talmadge was joined by long-serving colleague Jill to cut the ribbon this morning just before 9am and re-open the store.

M&S Chiswick is one of more than twenty new or renewed stores M&S is launching in the second half of this financial year across the UK and is part of a £90m investment in M&S’ London stores announced earlier this year.
The store is located at 236 Chiswick High Rd., Chiswick, London W4 1PJ and opening hours are between 8am and 9pm Monday to Saturday and between 11am and 5pm Sundays.
