M&S has opened the doors to its bigger Tottenham Court Road store, offering even more products for customers.
M&S’ previous store on Tottenham Court Road closed on Monday and its new 10,600 sq ft location, which is closer to the Underground station, opened its doors yesterday at 9am, with colleagues joined by special guest Percy Pig to cut the ribbon.
Inside, customers will find an in-store bakery & coffee counter, serving a range of barista-made drinks, including iced latte and magic coffee ™, and a selection of bread and pastries.
A range of Fresh Market Specials greets customers at the front of the store, with a lineup of seasonal products, including Isle of Wight speciality tomatoes.
Customers can also get hold of the latest M&S Food product launches, including bitesize choc cone ends and new lunch choices such as Shake-A-Grains Mexican Style Chicken.
Those customers looking for lunch can also find a Mai sushi counter in-store, offering a range of freshly prepared sushi.
Elsewhere, customers will find M&S’ new loaded summer dips and grill range, alongside a range of tinnies. This year, M&S is celebrating 40 years of its iconic tinnies and Hugo and Limoncello Spritz are the favourites of customers in the capital.
M&S Tottenham Court Road is one of four new stores M&S is opening in London this financial year, alongside an additional six set to be transformed – creating over 150 new jobs in total. The opening at Tottenham Court Road follows the launch of M&S’ brand-new Tooting Broadway food store last month.
M&S is aiming to double the size of its food business by growing its store footprint and expanding existing stores to offer a wider range of products in its move to be a shopping list retailer.
From its Remarksable Value everyday essentials range, including 100% traceable, DNA-certified British 5% fat beef mince and washing up liquid – price benchmarked against key competitors with an M&S quality point of difference - to its family-friendly Bigger Pack Better Value offer, made up of over 100 products.
Sam Dunbar, Store Manager at M&S Tottenham Court Road, said:
“We are so excited to showcase our brand-new store and we have so many more new products for our customers to explore. Whether grabbing lunch and dinner on the go, or looking for the everyday essentials, we have plenty of M&S quality and trusted value products to try.
The atmosphere was fantastic at opening and we had a queue of customers waiting to take a look inside. A massive thanks to my team for all their hard work getting the store ready and it’s been brilliant to welcome 17 new colleagues.”
