Hull FC players Joe Batchelor and Herman Ese'ese joined Store Manager Tracey Vessey to re-open the store this morning
M&S has opened the doors to its Anlaby Hull food store this morning, following a six-week renewal to transform the store.
Special guests, Hull FC players Joe Batchelor and Herman Ese'ese, joined Store Manager Tracey Vessey and Percy Pig shortly before 9am to officially re-open the store and welcome customers back inside.
The major transformation of the 14,000 sq ft fresh market-style store sees a new layout, more products for customers to shop and new features to explore.
Customers will find a brand-new in-store bakery & coffee counter, serving a range of barista-made hot drinks, from M&S’ signature Magic Coffee to iced mocha.
Meanwhile M&S’ team of store bakers are serving up a range of bread and treats, from Collection Sourdough to the newly launched Dunked N’ Loaded Doughnuts, available in four flavours: Pistachio Crème, Chocolate, Matcha and Strawberry and Lemon.
A larger produce section will see even more fresh produce available from M&S’ Select Farms, over 1,000 of which are based in Yorkshire, alongside a dedicated Flower Shop and line up of Flower Shop Special bouquets, perfect for Mother’s Day this weekend.
Customers will also find M&S’ Remarksable Value range of everyday essentials, price benchmarked against key competitors with an M&S quality point of difference, throughout the store alongside the family-friendly Bigger Pack Better Value range, recently increased to over 100 products.
Other highlights include M&S’ iconic cheese barge, a larger frozen range and Wine Shop, including M&S favourites blended by expert winemakers and the Found range of unexpected wines from around the world.
Anlaby Hull is one of twelve stores that M&S has renewed this financial year, ensuring each offers the very best of M&S for customers.
Store Manager Tracey Vessey celebrated 40 years at M&S last year, having begun her career as a Christmas temp in Grimsby. After working across various local stores, she returned to Anlaby Hull four years ago and now leads the 70-strong colleague team. She said of the launch:
“We have counted down the days to reveal our new and improved store to customers and the reaction this morning was amazing. It was particularly special to be joined by the Hull FC players to cut the ribbon and a massive thanks to my whole team who have worked hard to get the store ready. To our customers, I promise the transformed store has been worth the wait and we can’t wait to welcome you back and showcase the trusted value, exceptional quality we have, alongside that touch of M&S magic of course.”
Opening hours for the new store are between 8am and 8pm Monday to Saturday, and between 10am and 4pm Sundays.
