M&S has opened its brand-new store at Weymouth Gateway Retail Park, offering the best of Food and Fashion.
Inside the fresh market-style foodhall, customers will find produce from M&S’ Select Farm partners and an in-store bakery & coffee counter offering barista-made hot drinks. A hot chicken counter also serves up BBQ and butter-basted flavour British rotisserie chicken.
Customers will also find dedicated Made Without gluten-free and organic sections, alongside M&S’ signature Flower and Wine Shops.
The store offers a range of frozen products, alongside household must-haves, from laundry products to pet food and M&S’ popular Remarksable Value, family-friendly Bigger Pack Better Value and Only… Ingredients ranges, including Only… Ingredients Tomato Ketchup and Olive Oil Mayonnaise, perfect for the summer BBQ.
In fashion, customers will find M&S’ high-performance Goodmove range and Per Una collection, offering classic pieces and modern looks.
Elsewhere, the denim section showcases a range of styles, from carrot to barrel, while lingerie offers shapewear, nursing and post-surgery bras, and a range of bras starting from £10. Rosie Lingerie, exclusively at M&S, is also a new addition for Weymouth.
Over in menswear, customers will find M&S’ best-selling Autograph Pure Supima® Cotton Performance Crew Neck T-shirt for £20, available in a range of colours.
Customers can easily collect any online fashion, home and beauty orders via a dedicated Click & Collect point.
All colleagues have transferred across to the new store from St Mary Street and the opening has created over 70 new jobs.
Store Manager Georgia Simpkins-Dowey has worked at M&S for over a decade and was joined by colleagues, Percy Pig and Colin the Caterpillar to cut the ribbon just before 9am and open the store. Hundreds of customers queued to be the first inside, some from 6am.

The excitement has definitely been building over the past few weeks and we hope customers love the store as much as we do.
At more than double the size of our St Mary Street store, we can offer the very best of M&S and a much better shopping experience. We also have a fantastic range of products, with everything for customers’ weekly shop and delivering that M&S trusted value and exceptional quality.”
M&S Weymouth Gateway is one of two full-line stores M&S is opening this financial year, alongside 18 new Food stores and a number of extensions and renewals across the UK. It is also the first of two new stores opening in Dorset, with a new M&S Food set to open at Redlands Poole.
The store is located at Gateway Retail Park, 10-12 Souter Way, Weymouth, DT3 5FU and opening hours are between 8am and 9pm Monday to Saturday and between 10.30am and 4.30pm Sundays.
