M&S today unveiled its brand-new fashion, home and beauty offer as part of its fully refurbished 50,000 sq ft store in Douglas, which officially opened its doors at 8am this morning. The launch marks the completion of a major nine-month upgrade, which also included enhancements to the food hall at the end of 2025, helping bring the very best of M&S to customers across the Isle of Man.

The opening featured a giant Percy Pig, delighting local shoppers who gathered early to get a first look inside the refreshed store. Special guests in attendance included Sir John Lorimer, His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor; Steven Crellin, the Mayor; and Oliver Cheshire, City Centre Manager for Douglas City Council. His Excellency officially opened the transformed store by cutting the ribbon alongside the M&S team.

Store Manager Caroline Brand, who has worked at the Douglas store for ten years and leads a team of 250 colleagues, said: “We’re so excited to finally share our newly renovated store with the local community today. The team has put in a huge amount of effort behind the scenes to bring everything together, and it’s great to now be able to offer even more of the style, quality and value our customers love from M&S.

“The response to our food hall since it reopened at the end of last year has been brilliant. We really appreciate our customers’ patience over the past nine months while we completed the rest of the work. It’s been lovely to see such a positive reaction today, and we’re proud to have invested in creating a space that makes shopping even more enjoyable. Just in time for summer, there’s something for everyone - from Father’s Day treats to holiday outfits, whatever the weather brings!”

On the ground floor, customers will find a brand-new womenswear layout showcasing popular M&S brands including Per Una and Goodmove. The refreshed offer also features lingerie from Rosie and the new Body range, alongside a bra-fitting service available by appointment with dedicated in-store specialists.

The ground floor is also home to a spacious new beauty hall, featuring M&S favourites such as Apothecary and ESPA, alongside third-party brands including Color Wow and Living Proof.

In menswear, the updated space offers the latest Autograph collections, ranging from everyday essentials to premium tailoring.

Elsewhere, the relocated kidswear department on the top floor provides a wide selection of everyday essentials, including schoolwear and summer styles. This floor also features a curated homeware range, including the popular M&S x Tom Kerridge kitchen and tableware collection, as well as the M&S x Kelly Hoppen homeware edit.

Today’s launch follows the unveiling of the store’s expanded, fresh market-style food hall last November, which includes a cheese barge, in-store flower shop, M&S Wine Shop, larger bakery, and a hot chicken counter.

M&S Douglas is open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 7pm, and Sunday from 8am to 6pm.
