M&S has unveiled its brand-new 18,600 sq ft food store in Farnham this morning, with customers queuing to get a first look inside.

The fresh market-style foodhall offers the very best of M&S Food, with the full range of products available, from everyday essentials to household must-haves.

Inside, customers will find an in-store bakery & coffee counter, serving a range of barista-made drinks, alongside pastries and bread, including M&S’ popular Collection Sourdough – with each loaf taking over 30 hours to make.

A line-up of fresh market specials greets customers at the front of the store, part of a wide range of fresh produce from M&S’ Select Farm partners – with almost 200 based in the South East.

Elsewhere, customers will find Hot Chicken and Mai Sushi counters, as well as an iconic cheese barge.

M&S’ Remarksable Value range – made up of over 100 everyday essentials price benchmarked against key competitors – is available throughout the store, as well as M&S’ family-friendly Bigger Pack Better Value range.

This week M&S launched its transformed cereals range, including new and improved granolas, mueslis and porridge pots using whole foods, from Matcha and Raspberry Overnight Oats to Triple Nut Muesli – now available at M&S Farnham.

M&S’ brand-new Milk Chocolate Malt Balls, launched today, are also a must-try and part of the Pick ‘N’ Marks range.

Customers will also find dedicated Flower and Wine shops, showcasing the best Flower Market Specials and award-winning wines, alongside a Click & Collect point for online fashion, home & beauty orders.

The store is one of twelve Homebase stores M&S is developing across the UK, and one of three brand-new larger format foodhalls opened in the past fortnight.

M&S’ plans for Farnham were first announced back in May last year and the opening has created over 60 new local jobs.

Store Manager Joe Bentley was joined by new recruit Lucy Rogers, Percy Pig and Farnham’s Town Crier Michael Stephens to cut the ribbon and officially open the store this morning. He said of the re-opening:

“We are so excited to bring the best of M&S Food to Farnham. The response from customers is brilliant so far and a massive thanks to everyone who came along at 8am to celebrate the opening moment. Our new store has something for everyone, whether doing your weekly shop or popping in for lunch, with our full product range to choose from and all delivering M&S trusted value and unbeatable quality. I’m proud of the whole team for their hard work getting everything ready, and to our customers in Farnham, we can’t wait to welcome you in-store soon.”

M&S Farnham is located at Unit A, Farnham Retail Park, GU9 9QJ and opening hours are between 8am and 9am Monday to Saturday and between 10.30am and 4.30pm Sundays.
