- Store expansion comes as JAEGER launches new collection for AW23
Today (Monday 30 October) Marks & Spencer has announced that JAEGER will open in a further 20 stores across UK, following the iconic heritage brands ongoing success in store and on M&S.com as part of the M&S family.
Following a successful trial last year, where selected M&S stores welcomed a dedicated space for JAEGER, M&S is continuing to roll this out to offer even more customers the opportunity to discover the stylish quality of JAEGER products in store.
This Autumn, customers will be able to shop JAEGER in 9 more M&S stores across the UK*, including new stores in Thurrock, Essex and Trafford, Manchester which are set to open in November. JAEGER is also set to enter a further 11 stores in early 2024** which will bring the total store footprint to 46.
The latest store expansion will return the brand to locations where it formerly had a strong presence including Guildford and Exeter and open in new areas including Lisburn in Northern Ireland. The M&S stores will offer both women and men collectable pieces that embody effortless elegance, with dedicated JAEGER style experts on hand to assist customers.
AW ‘23 Collection
The store expansion comes just in time for the launch of JAEGER’s A/W ’23 season collection which is grounded in a calm and collected palette, yet pops with colour and print statements in considered and versatile pieces. With the brands legacy in Autumn Winter, the ‘23 collection strengthens the JAEGER handwriting and reflects JAEGER’s design values and aspirations as it continues to evolve as part of the M&S family.
Outerwear continues to lead the AW ’23 collection with a range of superior quality pieces in beautiful wool solids and wool textured checks, enhancing its reputation for luxury, long-lasting coats and jackets, for the modern woman. A timeless essential, the JAEGER Pure Wool Belted Longline Wrap Coat (£399) in light camel continues to be a bestseller. As it continues to surprise and delight with a wider range of modern designer-appeal pieces, new for Jaeger this season is a focus on structured knit separates including the JAEGER Merino Wool Rich Ribbed Funnel Neck Jumper (£125) and JAEGER Merino Wool Rich Ribbed Midi A-Line Skirt (£125) which are perfect for smart office or occasion wear. Sales for AW23 are +25% vs LY with knitwear the standout category at +43% vs LY.
Suzi Avens, Head of JAEGER, commented: “This year we’ve worked hard to reposition JAEGER as a stylish and elevated independent brand that is proud of its heritage but set up for future success. Our expansion into a further 20 M&S stores across the UK, is the latest exciting step on the journey for JAEGER as part of the M&S family, demonstrating the continued confidence in the brand.
“We know our customers love to experience the timeless quality and immaculate cut of JAEGER products in store – whether it’s the premium feel of our cashmere jumpers or considered details in our dresses. So, we’re delighted to be able to offer JAEGER in more stores this season, allowing both customers who have cherished the brand for years or perhaps more recently discovered the new collection – to shop JAEGER both in store and M&S.com.”

Joining the M&S Family
In January 2021, M&S acquired the JAEGER brand for £6m. With its reputation for innovation in natural fibres, British sourcing and distinctive style, M&S recognised the opportunity for a complementary addition to its own-brand range business, as part of its wider ‘Brands at M&S’ strategy.
Like M&S, JAEGER was founded in 1884 and has been creating quality, stylish clothing for nearly 140 years. In October 2021, JAEGER relaunched as part of the M&S Family.
