I work within the Tuesday team at M&S. Tuesday is an outfit inspiration service created to help our womenswear customers with all of their wardrobe needs – whether it’s help with trying out a tricky trend or an updated work wardrobe. We are a team of experienced and passionate stylists who with the support of our very talented team of developers (who have industry-leading digital product expertise) curate beautiful, informative and inspirational looks for customers. The complimentary service is highly considered, truly personalised and tailored to our customer’s needs, chosen preferences and aspired style.

Our customers sign up online by answering some simple questions which inform the stylists on how best to style them. We aid our growing pool of customers (which is currently over 300,000) in both their day and work wardrobes, and not only do we showcase the best M&S has to offer, but we educate our customers on the latest trends, give advice on how to put looks together, and pass on any tips and tricks of the trade too! We send our customers an edit every three weeks that consists of three looks that we have styled together. 

Alongside regular edits we also send out weekly newsletters where we educate our customers on how to wear the season’s hottest trends, showcase our stylists’ picks, and highlight our ‘three ways to wear’ feature where we teach our customers how to wear their new pieces in different ways. We also have an Instagram account where the team show off their personal style and share their expertise. We engage with our customers daily and regularly post interactive stories and Q&A styling sessions.

We are so delighted that our service was recognised at the Drapers Digital Awards last night where we won the award for Best Use of Digital Personalisation. The award is testament to the talented and diverse team we have, and in the power of working collaboratively with the best coders, digital product experts and incredible stylists. Our online team also won an award for Best Multi Channel Delivery Offer. This really means a lot to the teams who work across online, retail and distribution, as it was voted for by 2,000 customers. Votes are based on how easy our website is to use, the checkout on our website, our delivery proposition and customer experience – all things we care about and are always looking to improve at M&S.

I am so proud to be part of such an innovative and creative team within M&S. I have been with Tuesday from the very beginning when it launched in 2015, and now as the styling lead I oversee the day to day styling of our customers making sure the highest level is always achieved. I love sharing my styling skills with our customers and inspiring them with new looks and wardrobe ideas. There’s nothing I love more than boosting a woman’s confidence by making her look and feel fantastic.  I am so excited for the future of Try Tuesday (keep your eyes peeled for our editorial platform) and cannot wait to see what the coming years bring.
