M&S has been working with Shelter since 2005 to help make sure no one fights bad housing or homelessness on their own. So far, with your help, we've raised over £7.7 million.
Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through their advice, support and legal services. And they campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to them for help.
M&S supports Shelter in lots of different ways; from in-store activity at Christmas, to donations of head office clothing samples that cannot be sold that go to Shelter shops all year round. The money raised from our partnership funds Shelter's free housing advice helpline, which answered 128,638 calls for support and help last year. Right now, M&S customers are funding 1 in 5 of all calls answered by the helpline – helping 94,000 families struggling with bad housing or homelessness since 2005.
Shelter's free national helpline 0808 800 4444 is open all year round to offer expert housing advice to anyone struggling with issues related to housing and homelessness - no matter what their situation. It is manned by expert housing advisers who will listen to and support clients, and can help them take action or negotiate on their behalf.
Just one call to the Shelter helpline can be the difference between somebody losing their home and keeping it.
Working together – so no one fights bad housing or homelessness on their own.
