Clothing

As one of the largest retailers of clothing in the UK we want to make good quality fashion accessible to all.

Clothing – Section Managers

clothingAnd our clothing teams have a big part to play in helping us achieve this. With their keen eye for detail and appreciation of the latest styles, they help us deliver a service people talk about, by offering expert advice on everything from lingerie to menswear. Our teams normally specialise in one clothing area, such as womenswear, but there is the opportunity to gain experience in other areas too. Plus all of our teams receive specialist training to help them develop their skills in key areas such as fitting rooms, the customer ordering desk, serving on the till and our bra measurement service – where we train our assistants to measure by sight alone.

Your role and what you’ll need to do it

You'll motivate your team (and use your own experience) to provide the expert advice that ensures customers leave with the garment or outfit that's right for them. For this you'll need a good understanding of current fashions (for all ages) and the drive and desire to deliver the highest standards of customer service. There are three key areas in the department where you’ll need to focus on this, fitting rooms, service tills and our clothes ordering desks.

With two years’ management experience in the clothing industry, you’ll have the commercial awareness to stay on top of costs and a knack for successfully introducing and promoting new ranges. You’ll also need to be able to think on your feet in order to maximise sales and meet constantly shifting priorities.
