Home – Customer Assistants

Gold furniture pieceThis means our team not only need a great deal of product knowledge but, as some of these items can be high value, they also need to dedicate more of their time to customers to make sure their purchase is the right one.

In addition to offering expert advice, the team takes customer orders on anything from blinds to bed frames – and they also organise the odd wedding list or two. So they have to be accurate and pay attention to detail to ensure the right products are delivered to the right customers at the right time. And when you add in the team’s natural enthusiasm for home design, it’s no wonder we’re able to deliver a service people talk about.

Your role and what you’ll need to do it

"I didn't have a clue what to get our Tracy for her new house. Luckily the assistant at Marks & Spencer was full of ideas."

You'll help customers with everything from choosing a vase to putting together a look for an entire room. For this, you’ll need to be friendly, enthusiastic and patient enough to talk customers through their various product options. Strong administration skills will also be essential.
