The M&S Way
There are various things, as you’ll find out during your time on the scheme, that make M&S unique. Our values are one of those things.
They’ve enabled us to become one of the biggest and most respected names on the high street. Our approach to corporate social responsibility is another thing that sets us apart from our competitors.
Our values
Quality
We’re committed to delivering excellent standards consistently
Value
We will always aim to deliver exceptional value to our customers
Service
We will deliver the highest standards of service to our customers

We will strive to stay at the forefront of innovation in both general merchandising and food
Trust
We are the most trusted retailer. We have a proud heritage of staff welfare, customer care and involvement in the community. And we want to continue to build on this.
Corporate Social Responsibility
We’ve always shown a commitment to social and community issues. The recent launch of Plan A, our five-year, 100-point plan to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing our business and our world, has seen us take this commitment even further.
Plan A involves us working with our customers and our suppliers to combat climate change, reduce waste, safeguard natural resources, trade ethically and build a healthier nation.
It’s a key area of focus for the business, and we’ve set ourselves some ambitious goals for the next five years. So you’ll regularly come across it throughout the scheme and beyond, and may well play a part in making some important changes happen.
