Graduate Lingerie Designer
Working as a key member of the Lingerie Design team, you'll research trends, products and colours, and brainstorm ideas. You’ll assist with the creation of strategic design briefs and, in turn, help produce brand new product concepts. You’ll also acquire a sound understanding of the design and development process and learn how to create commercial products.
What exactly will I be doing on the scheme?
If you choose Lingerie Design, you'll have both research and creative responsibilities. Updating the design team on new influences, you’ll be working with them to keep them abreast of the latest lingerie, sleepwear and hosiery trends. Under the direction of your line manager, you will meet with fabric, print, embellishment and garment suppliers to select from their ranges and develop commercial ideas.
How will you help me develop?
You’ll be set a number of creative projects which incorporate research and creativity. By completing these projects and presenting them to the design team, you’ll develop both your creative ability and your commercial acumen.
What sort of qualities are you looking for?
Those studying Lingerie/Contour Design, Womenswear or Textiles are all welcome. It goes without saying you’ll have a passion for lingerie and sleepwear, but you will also need to be self-motivated, highly organised and a great team player.
What happens after I’ve completed the scheme?
This scheme is for a set contract of 18 months. By the end of the scheme you’ll have gained invaluable insight and experience into the world of lingerie design - after that, how far you go and how quickly you get there will depend entirely on your ability and desire to succeed.
Graduate Ladieswear Designer
You’ll be involved at every stage of the design process, assisting with the creation of strategic design briefs and helping produce brand new product concepts. What exactly will I be doing on the scheme?
Choose Ladieswear Design and you’ll learn every aspect of the role of a designer in a commercial business environment. Learning about a garment’s life cycle, from design conception through to selection and production, you’ll soon be comfortable delivering technical garment specs, carrying out comparative shopping reports and identifying new trends and areas of opportunity. You’ll also attend design and selection meetings about range construction and best sellers to further support your design hit rate.

By shadowing designers and visiting our stores, you’ll learn about both the design and retail sides of the business. In time, you’ll get to visit our supply base in the UK to understand garment make. And, if budgets allow, you may get to travel within Europe to carry out directional shopping or to visit one of our suppliers’ factories.

Passionate about fashion, you’ll love shopping and should be comfortable working in a team or acting on your own initiative. With a strong sense of trend, you should be confident enough to challenge us creatively and show us what you can do. Ideally, you’ll be CAD literate and have some experience of Photoshop and Illustrator.
What happens after I’ve completed the scheme?

During this time you’ll have had opportunities to build relationships with our extensive supply base both in the UK and abroad, which may result in future employment. We’ll give you the knowledge and experience you need, and how far you go with it is up to you.
